Nuacht litir Mí Meán Fómhair
September 17th, 2015Fáilte is fiche ar ais go bliain iontach scoile eile 2015-2016.
Tá na Naíonáin nua socraithe síos cheana féin agus daltaí gach rang eile tosaithe ar obair dhushlánach na scoile go dearfach, agus go díograiseach.
Welcome back to the new school year 2015-2016.
The new junior infant class have settled in well and all other classes have begun working hard with great enthusiasm.
Tá brón orainn go bhfuil múinteoir Máire éirthe as agus go bhfuil múinteoir Denis imithe uainn. Is oth linn go bhfuil orainn slán a fhágáil leo. We are sad to say farewell to múinteoir Máire who taught rang a 2&3 with such dedication and Denis who contributed so much to our school in such a short space of time.
Nóta áthas dúinn go bhfuil múinteoir Deirdre ag múineadh Rang 1,2 agus 3 anois, agus go bhfuil Clodagh mar runaí/iondaí nua sa scoil. Fáilte freisin chuig Sharon atá ag ionadaíocht mar múinteoir Tacaíocht Foghlaime/Learning Support.
We are delighted to welcome Deirdre, Clodagh and Sharon to our school staff and look forward to another very successful school year!
We would like to sincerely thank all the parents that have paid school fees for this school year. The money collected will go towards the school book rental scheme, photocopying art and craft materials and 24 hr insurance for all pupils.
The whole school will be taking part in The Artist in the School Scheme (Clare County Council initiative) again this year. A local artist will work on a project with the students and their teachers for 30hrs. The theme will be based on the 1916 rising. Táimid ag súil go mór leis!
Refugee Crisis: We are all aware of the current humanitarian crisis that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of displaced refugees. Many charities across Ireland and the world are making efforts to combat this problem and we feel it is important to mobilise our students to do the same. Clare to Calais is a voluntary group who have organised a convoy to bring much needed supplies to Refugee camps. In order to demonstrate to our children the importance of caring for those less fortunate and to promote social awareness, we ask that all families put a small toiletries pack together and drop it into school before Friday the 25th of September. These packs will be sent on to the camps with the Clare to Calis convoy. (See more details on Clare to Calais facebook page).
Bord of Management:
Beidh deireadh an téarma críochnaithe ag an Bord Bainistíochta faoi Samhain 2015. The current Board will come to the end of its term of office this November ’15. Bhí an tádh linne le baill an bhoird atá ann i láthair na huaire. We are blessed at the moment to have the services of such dedicated board members.
